Light Worker Initiation Course

What is a Light Worker?

A Light Worker, a Spiritual Healer, is a Person who feels inspired to help others through spiritual meditation, teaching, healing, prayer, writing and speaking through unconditional love. Light Workers can come from a variety of spiritual traditions and backgrounds, yet generally agree that the healing light they work with is comprised of eternal energy connecting everyone and everything in the universe, and that it is possible for people to connect consciously with divine light energies through intention.

This energy is sometimes viewed as the energy of the divine creator (or God) within us all – sometimes referred to as "inner light" or divine spark.

Light Worker also refers to a person who works with light energy according to a wide variety of New age and Alternative healing practices. Some of the more common forms of this form of light work are:

  • healing modalities that use different energetic processes such as Reiki, and balancing or connecting energies from one place to another, such as from the universe to the earth grids.

Probably the most common form of Lightwork would be a person who chooses to "shine their light." The premise behind the concept of "shining your light" is that our world and society are improved by people being kind, compassionate, loving, and considerate to each other. It is choosing to use actions, thoughts and words to create situations that show others they are appreciated, cared for, and loved. A person who chooses to use the label LightWorker, often indicates a person who sees being loving and compassionate to others as a spiritual path – a path to connecting with the divine.

A LightWorker's mission is to walk upon the face of the planet lightly, as the rainbow warriors of our time, and shine our love, happiness, and peace into the world

Historical Roots of Light Workers

Light Workers carry within them the ability to attain spiritual awakening faster than other people. They carry inner seeds for a rapid spiritual awakening. With regard to this, they seem to be on a faster track than most people, if they choose it. This again is not because Light Workers are in any way “better” or “higher” souls. They are, however, older than most souls presently incarnate on earth. This older age should preferably be understood in terms of experience rather than time.

Light Workers have reached a particular stage of enlightenment before they incarnate on earth and start their mission. They consciously choose to become entrenched in the “karmic wheel of life” and to experience all forms of confusion and illusion that go with it.

They do this in order to fully understand “earth experience.” This will enable them to fulfill their mission. Only by going through all stages of ignorance and illusion themselves will they eventually own the tools to help others achieve a state of true happiness and enlightenment.

Why do Light Workers pursue this heartfelt mission to help humanity, thereby running the risk of losing themselves for ages in the heaviness and confusion of earth life? This is a question we will deal with extensively below. For now we will say that it has to do with a galactic type of karma. Light Workers stood on the eve of humanity’s birth on earth. They took part in the creation of man. They were co-creators of humanity. In the process of creation, they made choices and acted in ways which they came to regret deeply afterwards. They are here now to make up for their decisions back then. Before we go into this particular history, we will name a few characteristics of Light Worker souls which generally distinguish them from other people. These psychological traits do not uniquely belong to Light Workers and not all Light Workers will recognize all of them as theirs. By drawing up this list, we simply want to give an outline of the Light Worker’s psychological identity. With regard to the characteristics, outer behavior is of less importance than inner motivation or felt intent. What you feel inside is more important than what you show outside.

Characteristics of Light Workers

From early on in their life, they feel they are different. More often than not they feel isolated from others, lonely and misunderstood. They will often become individualists who will have to find their own unique ways in life.

They have trouble feeling at home within traditional jobs and/or organization structures. Light Workers are naturally anti-authoritarian which means that they naturally resist decisions or values based solely on power or hierarchy. This anti-authoritarian trait is present even if they seem timid and shy. It is connected to the very essence of their mission here on earth.

Light Workers feel drawn to helping people as a therapist or as a teacher. They may be psychologists, healers, teachers, nurses, etc. Even if their profession is not about helping people in a direct manner, the intent to contribute to the higher good of humanity is clearly present.

Their vision of life is colored by a spiritual sense of how all things are related together. They consciously or subconsciously carry memories within them of non-earthly spheres of light. They may occasionally feel homesick for these spheres and feel like a stranger on earth.

They deeply honor and respect life which often manifests as a fondness for animals and a concern for the environment. The destruction of parts of the animal and vegetable kingdoms on earth by human doing invokes deep feelings of loss and grief in them. They are kind-hearted, sensitive and empathic. They may have trouble dealing with aggressive behavior and they generally experience difficulties in standing up for themselves. They can be dreamy, naive or highly idealistic, as well as insufficiently grounded, i.e. down-toearth. Because they easily pick up negative feelings and moods of people around them, it is important for them to spend time alone on a regular basis. This enables them to distinguish between their own feelings and those of others. They need solitary time to touch base with themselves and with mother earth.

Am I a Light Worker?

Here are a few indicators that may help you decide whether you are Light Worker or not.

  • You don’t feel like you fit in with the majority of the people in the world. You feel that that you are different from others, and misunderstood by most people (sadly, often members of their own family).

  • You believe you are here for a divine “purpose,” even if you haven’t found out what it is yet, and this nags at Light Workers and generates a chronic feeling of inner urgency and restlessness.

  • Your childhood was difficult, painful, and/or lonely.

  • You are very compassionate, and always going out of your way to help others. A Light Worker’s very nature is that of a helper – often to the point where Light Workers have trouble saying “no” to requests from people.

  • You are empathetic – meaning that you can literally FEEL other people’s emotional states, particularly if they are in pain.

  • Your relationships are unbalanced – Light Workers tend to attract “wounded” people who need saving and healing, and Light Workers give, give, give. (Many Light Workers get a little better at setting boundaries in relationships as they get older, simply because they eventually get tired of being taken advantage of over and over again.)

  • You crave love and acceptance, yet have had a hard time finding it, and you feel discouraged from many years of relationships that just don’t work out.

  • Although you often feel lonely, they would often rather spend time alone than hang out with people who don’t understand your true self.

  • You sometimes find yourself “faking it” in social settings in order to fit in better and not be seen as “the weird one” in the room.

  • You tend to be polite and kind to others, even when they are not polite and kind in return.

  • You have little interest in many of the things that the masses are obsessed with like sports, celebrity gossip, fashion trends, and so forth.

  • You are not a regular viewer of the nightly news, because it’s just too negative and depressing.

  • You find the human race’s violent tendencies horrifying and incomprehensible, and would love to make the world a better place.

  • Light Workers value peace and harmony. Light Workers are not competitive and often don’t stick up for themselves. Light Workers dislike arguing and fighting (it might even make them feel ill). However, Light Workers can become very angry when they see any person or any living thing being treated cruelly or unfairly. (They even cry when they see trees being cut down.) In particular, violent treatment of children or animals makes them crazy.

  • Your career may involve helping people in some way, shape, or form: medicine/healing, counseling, social work, teaching, helping animals, helping nature and the environment – anything that contributes to the well-being of humanity and the planet. (If you are in any kind of helping profession, you are a Light Worker whether you remember your true soul origins or not.)

  • Light Workers’ careers are also in the spiritual arena: Light Workers do psychic readings, read Astrology charts, practice Feng Shui, or Reiki. Light Workers are ministers, yoga teachers, doing shamanic work, and so forth.

  • Light Workers’ careers are in creative fields such as art, music, writing, acting, designing jewelry – anything that makes use of inspired creativity and imagination. Light Workers may be naturally gifted in one or more areas of the creative arts.

  • Even if you are not involved in the above three career categories, you gravitate towards them as a hobby, or you volunteer for causes you believe in, and so forth.

  • Light Workers are not as materialistic as the general population. Light Workers don’t care about status symbols, and fancy expensive stuff – as long as they have enough money to live decently, they are satisfied.

  • Light Workers are very sensitive and cry easily.

  • Light Workers are not religious in the traditional sense (even if you were raised in a very religious household), yet they are deeply spiritual.

  • You are interested in New Age topics in general, and in particular, feel drawn to any of the following: Science-fiction; ETs and UFOs; ancient civilizations such as Atlantis, Lemuria, ancient Egypt, etc

  • You read books and/or attend lectures on New Age topics or personal-growth topics.

  • You tend to have dreams that are very vivid and interesting.

  • Light Workers, as young children, may have seen angels, faeries, the spirits of departed family members, or other beings of the spirit realm. (And some of them still have this ability as adults.)

  • Light Workers may have had other so-called “supernatural” experiences throughout their lives (received information psychically, seen UFOs, etc.). Light Workers are not freaked out by supernatural events as many people are – in fact, they seem normal and natural to Light Workers.

  • Light Workers are not terrified of death like most people, because Light Workers have a spiritual outlook on this subject, and you know that spirit lives on even after the body dies.

  • Light Workers tend to really love music, art, nature and animals

  • Light Workers are drawn to natural foods, and may be vegetarian or vegan.

  • Light Workers can be sensitive to loud sounds, strong smells and crowds.

  • Light Workers suffer from (or are in recovery from) addictions such as alcohol and overeating. (Even if you do not fit the true definition of “addict,” you stillmay have a tendency to abuse certain substances. This is an attempt to cope with or numb the psychological pain and depression you may feel at times.)

  • Light Workers may have suffered from depression. (If you have sought psychological counseling, you may have been misdiagnosed or simply not found any real relief.)

  • Light Workers, in general, have found it difficult to live in this world. This planet is hard for Light Workers to take, because there is so much violence, mindlessness, destruction, disregard for nature and all of earth’s creatures, and so forth. Also, the rampant selfishness, deceitfulness, aggressiveness and greed in the population is disgusting to Light Workers.

  • All their lives, Light Workers have yearned to go Home (even if you don’t consciously remember where Home is), and they may even have thought about suicide when the pain feels overwhelming, or simply wished to die. Some Light Workers feel they don’t belong in this world. However, Light Workers do know that they came to this planet to help, and as much as the weariness and sometimes loneliness of life gets here, Light Workers are still here and still helping!)

  • A shrinking of your social life. Many of your old friendships have ended for one reason or another, and you find yourself spending more and more time alone. If you are married to (or are in a relationship) with a person who is not spiritual and not a Light Worker, you may find yourself wanting to end that relationship at this time.

  • A desire to relocate, perhaps to a place you’ve never even been to or ever thought about before.

  • Feeling that you’ve lost interest in your old career, and an inner sense that there is something else you are “meant” to do, but it hasn’t revealed itself to you yet.

  • Feelings of being completely fed up, tired of your old life, and wanting massive CHANGE.

  • Sensing that something big is about to happen, and feeling like you are just waiting, waiting, waiting.

These are some of the characteristics of Light Workers. If you find yourself checking “yes” to many of the characteristics on this Light Workers list, you are indeed a Light Worker.

Cosmic Energy and Cosmic Consciousness

The Light Worker’s Prayer

by Doreen Virtue

“I choose to stay centered in the awareness of love, God, and my true self. In this center, like the eye of a hurricane, all is tranquil, safe, and peaceful. My power, wisdom, and peace comes from staying in this center, and I ask for spiritual support from God and His angels to keep my mind aligned with the truth.

I willingly detach from the material world, know that that by so doing, I can effectively heal others. I trust God to provide my every need, and I allow His omnipotent wisdom to direct me in all ways.

I accept a steady diet of love and joy, knowing that I deserve happiness and health. I willingly and lovingly release all ego judgments about myself and other people, knowing that everything I want comes from my decision to experience the oneness of all life.

I know I am meant to be a healer and a teacher for God, and I now accept my mission fully without delay or reservation. I surrender

all behaviors that would block me from hearing my inner voice, and I happily trust my inner guide to lead me along the LightWorker’s way, where I joyfully serve as an instrument of love. I release any doubts or fears I may have about fulfilling my Divine mission, and I now commit to staying aware of my inner Voice of God. I know that this is the only tool I will ever need

for my own healing and the healing of the world.

Amen.”

Initiation into the Divine Order of Lightworkers

To be initiated (not ordained) is to be linked by Divine power and allowed to carry this power to others. The initiation process is one of direct intent. It is simple and only requires acceptance. You may state your intent to the energy of god. Through the help of quite meditation and asking God to enter his enlightened energy into each chakra, the transformation will take place. The individual who acts as initiator, be it at a distance or directly beside the initiate; intents with you and completes the process.

We act in accordance to the scripture that states: ‘Any two of you who agree in prayer and ask for whatever you so desire, It shall by granted unto you by Me, through my Father in Heaven.’

The words of the initiation are vows that we take to show our serious intent to follow Spirit/Divine Source from this day forward. Consider this day one that will change your life. You are now a Priest of the Order of LightWorkers . Welcome to the Order. We welcome you with love, Light and Peace this day and forever more.

Preparation for the Self Initiation

One of the most important aspects of preparation is meditation. Take a moment to center and ground, taking a few gentle cleansing breaths to align and connect to the Gods energy. State your intent to receive the Initiation; and then begin

• “I wish, to be initiated into the Order of LightWorkers at this time and in this place.”

• “I’ve now prepared to be initiated into the Order of LightWorkers .”

• “I now intent Gods energy to flow into each chakra and into your hands andfeet, and accept this energy with Love and Light”

Take a few moments and allow the energy to move up your chakras and fill your hands and feet. Breathe gently and follow the energy as it moves into your chakras. Put your hands in prayer-position and state the following:

• I now intent that my mind will always open to the Divine Source. exhale…

• I now intent that my eyes are always see and understand the ways of Divine Source. Take a cleansing breath, and exhale…

• I now intent that my voice will channel love and respect of Divine Source towards all Beings. Take a breath, exhale…

• I now intent that my Heart will always be an open channel for the love of Spirit, and that Divine Source enter in now to live within in me and allow me to serve as a Priest of the Order of LightWorkers Take a breath, exhale….

• I now intent that I may grow in the Love, Light and Peace of Divine Source each day and forever. Take a breath, exhale……

• I now accept and intent that my life will be attuned to the fullest potential of Love, Peace, Joy and Prosperity through Divine Source; for this is what Divine Source intents for Me at this time and forever more! Take a breath, exhale….

• I call upon the power and energy of God to initiate me and I accept this initiation with gratitude, love, joy and peace.

• At this moment and at this time, forever more; I now intent that God walk with me on all my spiritual paths, guiding me all throughout; in the Divine Source’s love, Light and peace.

You’re all now Priest forever, according to the Order of LightWorkers.

Welcome newly initiated Priest, to the Order of LightWorkers. Welcome to our Brotherhood/Sisterhood of Love and Light.

If for any reason, you feel a weakening of the energy, all you need to do is re-establish the connection by intent and ask for Gods energy to flow through your chakras. The flow of energy begins immediately and re-charges the chakras and heavenly bodies and aura from that moment on.

Do remember, this is initiation only; not ordination. It is asked that this energy be passed freely to anyone who desires, as it is given as a gift of Spirit to you.

Be blessed this day with love, peace, joy and prosperity.
